BOOK REVIEW | Diving for Treasure

By Vic Verlinden and Stefan Panis

The authors are a pair of professional divers who are clearly fascinated, to the point of obsession, with historic shipwrecks. They have dived on many, particularly in the grey, cold, turbid North Sea. That has been their happy hunting ground.

Fortunately for their readers, they have researched their targets very thoroughly. That research has incorporated the acquisition of numerous excellent photographs, paintings and drawings of their target ships along with their “potted” histories. They all enhance this fascinating little book.

So, whether you are a diving enthusiast or a maritime historian, there is much of interest here.
