A US Coast Guard Boat Forces Unit US Virgin Islands vessel crewmember inspects an overturned dinghy following the rescue of a boater south of St Thomas, US Virgin Islands, May 31, 2026. The survivor informed being the sole passenger aboard the 45-foot catamaran Abundance, which reportedly caught fire and sank moments earlier. The survivor was transferred to a Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services crew, who transported him to Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas.
