The pure car and truck carrier Felicity Ace after it was damaged by an onboard fire while off Portugal's Azores region on February 16, 2022. The ship, which was ultimately abandoned, had electric vehicles fitted with lithium-ion batteries among its embarked cargo on the day of the incident. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
