Spain’s P&O Reyser has placed an order for a new asymmetric tractor tug from UAE shipbuilder Drydocks World-Dubai.

The Cintranaval-designed 27-metre vessel will be equipped with two MAN 12V175D 2,220kW engines that will comply with IMO Tier III emissions requirements.

The tug will have a length of 27 metres and a bollard pull of 75 tonnes.

Once in service, it will be one of the first Tier III compliant tugs to operate in the Mediterranean.
