Dutch builder completes electric dredger for Canadian operator
Netherlands-based Dredge Yard has completed construction on a new electric hydraulic cutter suction dredger ordered by an undisclosed Canadian customer.
The newbuild has a total installed power of 214 kW and is equipped with a heavy duty cutter head with replaceable cutter teeth, allowing the dredge cutter head to be efficient in all depths.
The dredger also has a discharge pipe of 200-millimetres and two hydraulic-driven thrusters.
