Norway’s Rostein orders locally-built wellboat

Norwegian seafood company Rostein has awarded local shipbuilder Larsnes Mek Verksted a contract for the construction of a new wellboat.

The Skipskompetanse-designed vessel will have a total live transport capacity of 2,800 cubic metres and will be arranged for open and closed transport of fish and smolts.

The wellboat will measure 79.27 by 15 metres and will have accommodations for 12 personnel. Equipment will include a UV water treatment system and an automatic washing and disinfecting system.
