Icelandic operator gets locally-built 15-metre longliner

Icelandic fishing company Útgerðarfélagið Norðureyri has taken delivery of a new longlining boat from local builder Trefjar.

Einar Guðnason has a length of 15 metres, a gross tonnage of 30 tonnes, a Doosan V158 480kW engine, a mess with galley, and berths for four crewmembers.

The newbuild can also accommodate up to 43 tanks of 460 litres each in the hold.
