Croatian harbour towage company Brodospas has taken delivery of a new ASD tug built by Damen Song Cam Shipyard of Vietnam.

Hrabri (“Courageous”) will be operated in the waters of the ports of Split and Ploče on Croatia’s Adriatic coast. The tug joins two Damen-built anchor handling vessels and two Damen-built fast crewboats in the Brodospas fleet.

The 28-metre tug has a number of custom features requested by the owner. Among these is an external firefighting system.

The propulsion system can deliver a bollard pull of approximately 60 tonnes.

Hrabri belongs to a series that has been developed by Damen to provide enhanced safety, sustainability, reliability, and efficiency in operations. It features a flush fore deck optimised for multiple towing modes, providing the tug with greater operational flexibility.

An ergonomic, user-friendly design offers easy accessibility to the array of equipment such as winches, bollards, and fairleads.
