Seychelles Port Authority welcomes new tug to fleet

Seychelles Port Authority (SPA) recently took delivery of a new ASD tug from Sanmar Shipyards of Turkey.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed tug has an LOA of 24.4 metres, a moulded beam of 11.25 metres, and a maximum draught of 5.7 metres. Two Caterpillar 3512C 1,765kW main engines deliver a bollard pull of 60 tonnes and a free running speed of 12 knots.

The tug is also equipped with a firefighting monitor with an output of 1,200 cubic metres per hour.
