Netherlands-based towage and heavy transport specialist Muller Dordrecht has expanded its fleet with the ASD tug En Avant 30 for service in and around the port of Rotterdam.
Built by the Astilleros Armon Vigo shipyard in Spain, the 110-tonne bollard pull vessel is equipped to undertake towage, escort, anchor handling, fire fighting (FIFI 2), salvage and harbour assistance.
The 40.7-metre LOA vessel has two Schottel controlled pitch propulsion units and is powered by two MAN engines of 3285kW each. It has a 549-cubic-metre bunker capacity that allows for coastal open sea towage.
Deck equipment includes two 110-tonne hydraulic Rolls-Royce escort winches, a 130-tonne SWL escort hook, a 110-tonne Ibercisa waterfall type anchor handling and towing winch, a 130-tonne SWL towing hook, two 10-tonne Ibercisa tugger winches, a Palfinger deck crane, a Karmoy Karm fork and towing pins, and a 250-tonne SWL stern roller.
