Mexican Navy commissions Damen-built dredger
The Mexican Navy recently commissioned a new cutter suction dredger into service.
The Damen-built vessel, which will operate under the name ARM Laguna Morelos, will be used to undertake various dredging, depth maintenance, and land reclamation projects in the Gulf of Mexico. Its first project will be the dredging of the River Grijalba, the work being ordered by the Mexican Federal Government.
Laguna Morelos is the 12th vessel that Damen has delivered to the Mexican Navy.
