Cochin Shipyard launches 8,000DWT bulker pair

India’s Cochin Shipyard (CSL) has launched two new bulk cargo vessels ordered by local company JSW Shipping and Logistics.

The vessels are the first two in a series of four. Each will have a length of 122 metres, a deadweight of 8,000 tonnes, a speed of 10 knots, and space for 16 crewmembers.

The vessels be used to transport coal, iron ore, dolomite, and limestone on both coastal and inland routes.
