Nevsky Shipyard launches tanker ‘Academician Pashin’

Nevsky Shipyard has launched the medium-sized tanker ‘Academician Pashin’ from its shipyard in St Petersburg, Russia.

The 130-metre ‘Academician Pashin’ is the largest vessel ever launched from the yard.

The ‘Pashin’ has a draught of seven metres, with a deadweight of around 9,000 tonnes. It requires a crew of 24 people and has an endurance of 60 days.

The construction of the ship is being carried out for the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. The project is being developed by Spetssudoproect, JSC.
