GEAR | Sanmar Shipyards, Schottel ink framework agreement

Turkey’s Sanmar Shipyards and German propulsion specialist Schottel have entered into a framework agreement wherein Schottel will become the exclusive supplier of thrusters for a series of Robert Allan Ltd-designed tugs to be built by Sanmar.

The tugs will each have an LOA of 29.4 metres, a moulded beam of 13.3 metres, and a bollard pull of 90 tonnes.

The new framework agreement is valid for two years.
