CMA CGM to operate Beirut Port container terminal under 10-year concession

CMA Terminals, a fully-owned subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, has been chosen to manage, operate, and maintain the Port of Beirut’s container terminal for a 10-year period starting in March 2022.

CMA CGM said a US$33 million investment will be made in the container terminal. This figure includes US$19 million over the first two years of the concession.

The investment will cover projects such as refurbishment and replacement of port equipment, construction of a new technical facility for maintenance and spare parts storage, and implementation of management, optimisation and interconnection systems.
