Turkey’s Asya Port takes delivery of tug from Med Marine

Turkish port operator Asya Port has taken delivery of a new ASD tug from local builder Med Marine.

The Robert Allan Ltd-designed Asyaport Değirmenaltı, which was ordered at the end of 2019, will operate out of Tekirdağ in northeastern Turkey.

The newbuild has an LOA of 23 metres, a beam of 10.9 metres, accommodation for six people, and two Caterpillar 3512C 1,765kW engines that deliver a bollard pull of 60 tonnes and a speed of 12 knots.
