Construction starts on new ferry for China’s Wenzhou City
Jianglong Shipbuilding has begun construction on a new commuter ferry slated for operation in the waters of Wenzhou City in China’s Zhejiang province.
The vessel will have all-steel construction, an LOA of 42.8 metres, a beam of 9.8 metres, and space for eight crewmembers and 470 passengers. It will be able to sail at a speed of 10 knots.
The ferry is intended to also be operated as a sightseeing vessel.
