TUI Cruises takes delivery of new Mein Schiff 2

German operator TUI Cruises has taken delivery of Mein Schiff 2, a new vessel built by Finland’s Meyer Turku Shipyard.

The vessel has a length of 315 metres, a width of 36 metres, a displacement of 111,500 tonnes, a passenger capacity of 3,132, and a crew of 1,092.

Mein Schiff 2 is the sixth Meyer Turku newbuild to be delivered to TUI.

The first Mein Schiff 2, a Century-class ship which was delivered in 2011, is still part of the TUI fleet and will resume operational sailing under a new name.
