Singapore-based Vallianz Holdings has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dutch design firm Royal IHC to collaborate on the design and construction of a new service operation vessel (SOV) to support the operations and maintenance of offshore wind farms.

The IHC-designed vessel will have battery hybrid propulsion, a DP system, a motion compensated gangway and crane, a lift tower, and a daughter craft with a step-less boat landing. Ample space will also be available for warehousing, workshops, office spaces to cater to operations, and lounge areas for passengers.

The SOV will be built at the shipyard of Vallianz wholly owned subsidiary Vallianz USP in Batam, Indonesia.
