Farm-raised milkfish in Pangasinan province, Philippines

The province of Pangasinan in the northern Philippines will be the location of a new large aquaculture complex that will be built with the assistance of the Japanese government.

Government-owned corporation Tokushima Auction Market, through subsidiary Global Trade Venture Company, will work with Filipino partners on the construction of floating fish cages, a feed warehouse, processing plants, cold storage facilities, a solid and wastewater treatment facility, and other supporting infrastructure under the Pangasinan Fish Farming (PFF) project.

The PFF project has a total value of approximately US$1 billion. Details on its potential location within the province will be provided by the partners at a later date.
