The US Coast Guard cutter Douglas Munro, the service’s last operational 115-metre Hamilton-class high endurance cutter, returned home to Kodiak, Alaska, on Saturday, March 13, following a 49-day deployment in the Bering Sea.

The recent deployment saw the vessel conduct fishery patrols and provide search and rescue coverage off Alaska.

Douglas Munro was commissioned into service in September 1971. It is slated for decommissioning later this year.
