USCGC Robert Goldman, Patrol Forces Southwest Asia’s newest Sentinel-class cutter, was commissioned into service with the US Coast Guard at Key West, Florida, on Friday, March 12.

Built by Bollinger Shipyards of Louisiana, Robert Goldman is the second of six Sentinel-class fast response cutters (FRCs) to be homeported in Manama, Bahrain, to replace the aging Island-class patrol boats built 30 years ago.

The cutter will transit to Bahrain later this year along with sister vessel USCGC Charles Moulthrope.
