TSM gets new tugs for Seine operations

France’s Thomas Services Maritimes (TSM) has taken delivery of two new RSD tugs in a series from Damen Shipyards Group.

TSM will operate the IMO Tier III-compliant vessels on the Seine River in the port between the Ports of Rouen and Honfleur (HAROPA – Port de Rouen). The tugs will assist bulk carriers, facilitating the export of cereals from the Port of Rouen, as well as tankers and all vessels inbound for Rouen.

Each tug has a length of 24.73 metres, a beam of 13.13 metres, and a total installed power of 5,050 kW delivering a maximum bollard pull of 80 tonnes and a top speed of 13 knots.
