KD’s newest river tour boat launched
The hull of RheinGalaxie, a future river tour boat ordered by Cologne-based operator Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt (KD), was launched into the water for the first time at the facilities of Dutch shipbuilder NMC on Friday, February 21.
The hull has since been towed to the Lobith yard of Shipyard De Hoop where it will undergo final outfitting.
RheinGalaxie will have a length of 85 metres, a beam of 14 metres, and capacity for 1,000 passengers. It is KD’s third vessel order from Shipyard De Hoop.
