Meyer Werft hands over Dream Cruises newbuild

Meyer Werft has handed over the cruise ship World Dream to Asian shipping company Dream Cruises at Bremerhaven.

World Dream is 335 metres long, 39.7 metres wide and can reach a speed of more than 23 knots.

The new ship has a capacity for 3,376 passengers. About 75 per cent of the cabins are outer cabins and most have a balcony. 

World Dream includes 35 restaurants and bars, various entertainment facilities such as theatres, a climbing park and virtual reality applications.

She also carries a small deep-sea submarine that can take four guests down to a depth of 200 metres, and a motorboat.

Dream Cruises is a subsidiary of Genting Hong Kong.
