Callan Marine bags USACE Gulf Intracoastal Waterway dredging contract

Callan Marine was recently awarded a US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) contract for maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, from Rollover Pass to the Galveston Causeway in Texas.

This project will include the removal of 1.1 million cubic metres of sediment from the area. The material will be placed at a designated dredge material placement area (DMPA) along the channel as required by the contract.

Dredging is anticipated to be carried out from November 2020 to no later than mid-2021.

The dredger General Pershing will be utilised for the project.
