Lepta Shipping adds 81,000DWT bulker to fleet

Liberia-based Lepta Shipping took delivery of a new bulk carrier from Kawasaki Heavy Industries on Friday, January 17.

Construction of the 81,000DWT Navios Felicity I took place at the facilities of Nantong COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (NACKS), a joint venture between Kawasaki and China COSCO Shipping Corporation.

The newbuild has an LOA of 228.9 metres, a moulded beam of 32.24 metres, a moulded draught of 14.5 metres, a crew of 25, and seven cargo holds with a total capacity of 97,744 cubic metres. One MAN B&W 6S60ME-C8.5 9,670kW diesel engine delivers a speed of approximately 14 knots.
