Aker Solutions upgrades Aberdeen subsea services site

Aker Solutions has opened its upgraded Aberdeen services facility in Scotland to help capture subsea sector growth in the United Kingdom and beyond.

The £8 million (US$11.1 million) upgrade includes subsea trees and tooling equipment, a reorganisation of the space and implementation of lean processing and methodologies to improve efficiency.

The services hub, located just outside Aberdeen in Dyce, will retain its capability to manufacture new equipment, such as subsea control modules for North Sea customers.
