The subsea support vessel Maersk Installer has been delivered by COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard to offshore marine contractor Maersk Supply Service (MSS).

The 138-metre-long Stingray vessels are from a Marin Teknikk design, with a 27-metre beam.

The newbuild vessels were initially scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2016 and the first half of 2017 as part of a US$470 million contract from August 2014, but the four Stingray vessels were postponed with contract delivery dates planned from now until spring 2018.

The keel laying ceremony for all vessels took place on December 9, 2015.
