Chinese-built electric tour boat hits the water

Tongfang Jiangxin Shipbuilding of China has floated out a new sightseeing boat ordered by local operator the Wuhan Lee Kee Ferry Group.

Named Lee Kee 01, the CCS-classed vessel will have a length of 46.2 metres, a beam of 11 metres, and capacity for 200 passengers on two decks once completed. An electric propulsion system will deliver a speed of 18.5 knots.

Onboard facilities will include a VIP room, an observation lounge with panoramic windows, and an activity area.
