First steel cut for 7,000CEU car carrier for SFL

Guangzhou Shipyard International has cut the first steel for a new LNG dual-fuel pure car and truck carrier (PCTC) ordered by Norway’s SFL Corporation.

The completed ship will have an LOA of 200 metres, a beam of 38 metres, a design draught of 8.6 metres, and capacity for 7,000 vehicles.

The dual-fuel propulsion will have three operating modes and will deliver a speed of 19 knots and a range of 15,000 nautical miles.
