US Defense Department awards contract for maintenance dredging at Naval Weapons Station Earle

The US Department of Defense (DOD) has awarded Norfolk Dredging Company of Chesapeake, Virginia, a US$23,255,989 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging at Naval Weapons Station Earle in New Jersey.

The work to be performed provides for maintenance dredging of the areas surrounding piers including all berths, the turning basin, the terminal channel, and a portion of Sandy Hook federal channel.

Work will be performed in Colts Neck, New Jersey. Completion is scheduled for December 2022.

The weapons station serves as the operational support base for four combat logistics ships of the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command.
