Dutch energy company Vitol, through its Singapore-based bunker operations company V-Bunkers, has taken delivery of a new biofuel bunkering vessel.

Marine Future measures 102.6 metres long and has capacity for 7,000 tonnes of biofuel. The vessel can supply biofuel blends including B24, B30, and up to B100, depending on customer specifications.

Unlike other bunker tankers in Singapore that are restricted to a maximum of only 25 per cent bio component in their biofuel blends, the newbuild can deliver bunker fuels consisting of 100 per cent bio component (B100).

Vitol claims Marine Future is its first biofuel bunkering vessel to be operated in Asia.
