New-look Saga Sapphire exits drydock

Saga Cruises’ 650-passenger Saga Sapphire is back sailing after undergoing a recent 16-day refurbishment and overhaul at Lloyd Werft’s dry dock facility at Bremerhaven.

“The majority of the work is being conducted in the technical spaces, in the engine room and below the water line, hence the dry dock,” noted Captain Stuart Hornein the captain’s blog.

“Some refreshing of the passenger spaces will be undertaken, so I hope you’ll enjoy the feel of new carpets underfoot.”

Captain Horne said the hull and the funnel were painted, with a new brand-style name on the bow.
