Fincantieri delivers biggest ship ever built in Italy to MSC Cruises

On June 4, Fincantieri delivered the MSC Seaview to MSC Cruises in Monfalcone.

With a gross tonnage of over 153 thousand tonnes and a length of 323 metres, MSC Seaview is the largest and most technologically advanced ship ever to be designed and built in Italy.

Classification society RINA’s Green Star 3 classification recognises that the ship achieves high levels of eco-friendliness. with a number of measures in place to reduce the ship’s environmental footprint during operations.

These include the exhaust gas cleaning system, the advanced waste water treatment, systems for the prevention of oil discharge from machinery spaces, the ballast water treatment system, and the ship’s environmental management plan.
