UK-based Enshore Subsea has partnered with Belgian construction and engineering company Herbosch-Kiere to purchase a cable-laying vessel in a new joint venture between the two organisations.

The vessel that has been purchased is the 88-metre-long Topaz Installer. The acquisition, which will see the vessel renamed as CMOS Installer, will support clients with construction projects worldwide.

The vessel will be managed and operated jointly by Enshore Subsea and Herbosch-Kiere in a newly created partnership, Combined Marine Offshore Services (CMOS).

CMOS Installer is currently in Singapore for a scheduled drydocking and upgrade. Afterwards, it will sail to Korea to collect a cable consignment, before heading to Senegal for its first contract under its new ownership.
