Joint venture acquires UK boxship company Geest

A joint venture formed by Curaçao-based reefer transport company Seatrade Group and Jamaican logistics specialist Jamaica Producers Group has completed its acquisition of UK containership operator Geest Line.

The acquisition will also cover Geest Line’s routes between Europe and markets in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Geest Line said it will continue to operate independently in serving its existing customers and markets whilst looking for further opportunities to extend its trade.
