Ports of Jersey recently welcomed a new workboat to its fleet of towing and maintenance vessels.

Built by Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld, Duchess will be used on a broad range of duties including towing, mooring maintenance, anchor handling, surveying, and engineering support.

The 27-metre newbuild has twin Caterpillar engines that deliver a bollard pull of 41 tonnes. A Heila marine crane with a maximum lift capacity of 5.65 tonnes is fitted on the aft deck.
