Newbuild tug joins Young Brothers fleet

A newbuild ocean-going tug joined the fleet of Hawaii-based interisland shipping operator Young Brothers on Monday, January 14.

The 37- by 11-metre tug has been named Kapena Raymond Alapa’i after Raymond Alapa’i, one of the company’s first vessel captains.

It is the second tug in a series delivered to Young Brothers. Two more tugs in the same series will be delivered to the company by June 2019.
