Irish boatbuilder Safehaven Marine will soon deliver a new pilot boat to the Port of Waterford in the country’s southeast.

Port Lairge has a length of 15 metres as well as all-weather and self-righting capability. Two Scania D13 engines propel the boat to speeds in excess of 25 knots.

The boat also has seating for five pilots/passengers and two crewmembers. Wrap-around PU fendering is used on the hull while a powered MOB platform has been installed as well.
