Knud E. Hansen unveils 1,500-pax vessel design

Knud E. Hansen has unveiled images of a new Ro-Pax vessel capable of transporting up to 1,500 passengers and 440 cars plus an additional 657 lane metres for trucks and trailers.

The vessel will have a length of 154 metres, eight decks, and four 12MW diesel engines that will deliver a service speed of 25 knots.

The first four decks including the main deck will be exclusively for vehicle cargo while the fifth will have both vehicle and passenger accommodation. Decks six and seven will have passenger accommodation and public spaces for a bar, restaurant, two lounges, sun decks, and a shopping area.

The wheelhouse will be located on deck eight along with 41 single-occupancy crew/officer cabins as well dining and recreation facilities for all staff.
