Russia’s State Transport Leasing company (STLC) has placed an order for three cutter suction dredgers to be built by Tsimlyansk Marine Engineering Plant in Rostov Oblast.

The non-self-propelled, shallow-draught vessels will be operated by local inland waterway transport authority Rosmorrechflot. These will replace the aging river dredgers in its fleet.

Each dredger will be designed with the capability to remove up to 500 cubic metres of sediment in one hour.
