Celebrity Cruises takes delivery of second Edge-class ship

US-based Celebrity Cruises took delivery of Celebrity Apex, its second Edge-class cruise ship, from French builder Chantiers de l’Atlantique on Friday, March 27.

Officials from the two companies confirmed that the formal handover of the vessel to its new owners was conducted entirely via video conference.

Celebrity Apex is scheduled to sail out of Barcelona for its maiden operational voyage on May 20 of this year.
