Shipyard De Hoop launches expedition ship Silver Origin
Silver Origin, a new expedition vessel ordered by Monaco-based Silversea Cruises, has been launched into the water for the first time at the facilities of Shipyard De Hoop in the Netherlands.
The coming months will see the vessel undergo further outfitting in time for its expected delivery in the summer of 2020.
Capable of accommodating up to 100 guests once completed, Silver Origin will replace the 1990-built Silver Galapagos on Silversea’s Galapagos Islands itinerary.
