Saam Towage to venture into El Salvador market

Saam Towage is set to begin its operations in El Salvador through the provision of services for local firm Energía del Pacífico (EDP) at the Port of Acajutla.

The long-term agreement with EDP calls for allocating three tugs, two of which are new, to power plant operations. The 378MW plant will be powered by LNG and includes a floating storage and regasification platform.

Saam Towage will provide tug services for the power plant beginning in May 2021.
