MARINE PROJECTS WEEK

The marine projects sector continues to be active, as evidenced by the number of newbuild and refitted vessels entering service worldwide.

New developments in Europe and especially in the Far East are driving the introduction of these vessels, which range from inland dredgers and maintenance workboats to heavy transport barges and large installation ships best suited for deeper offshore waters.

Dredging and Land Reclamation • Maritime Infrastructure Development • Installation and Decommissioning • Maritime Surveying • Port Development • Offshore Wind Farm Development

This week is notable as more than half of the reviewed vessels were built and are being operated in China. As our readers are aware, the country’s shipyards churn out these specialised vessels regularly throughout the year, indicating the prevalent need for such platforms in a growing number of projects in domestic waters.

The marine projects sector continues to expand and benefit a number of different markets, and we at Baird Maritime are happy to provide readers with updates on the vessels and technology that comprise this sector.
