Rescue boat delivered to Wisconsin’s Suamico Fire Department

Annapolis, Maryland-based Ocean Craft Marine (OCM) has handed over a new search and rescue (SAR) boat to the Suamico Fire Department in eastern Wisconsin.

The rigid inflatable boat (RIB) has a length of 26 feet (eight metres) and features OCM’s proprietary high-performance, concave reverse-chine designed hull form. This ensures superior agility and manoeuvring, allowing quick and precise responses in emergency situations.

The design of the RIB itself can be adapted for various payload configurations, allowing the boat to carry a wide range of emergency response gear such as firefighting pumps, rescue baskets, and medical equipment.

The new rescue RIB replaces an earlier inflatable boat operated by the department.
