Ulstein Verft floats out Color Hybrid

Color Line’s plug-in hybrid vessel Color Hybrid has been launched at Ulstein Verft.

The Ro-Pax will have a length of 160 metres, a beam of 27.1 metres, and capacity for 2,000 passengers and 500 vehicles.

Being a plug-in hybrid, the vessel can switch to batteries to ensure reduced noise and emissions. The batteries will be recharged via shore connection in Sandefjord.

Color Hybrid is currently undergoing completion work prior to delivery this summer.

It will operate between Sandefjord, Norway, and Strömstad, Sweden.
