Pakistan Navy ship assists Iranian fishing vessel

The Pakistan Navy ship Shamsheer has provided medical assistance to an Iranian fishing vessel Burwari in open sea.

The navy said PNS Shamsheer was conducting maritime security operations at sea when it received an emergency call from the fishing boat, which had 17 crew members aboard.

The master of Burwari requested medical assistance for a crew member with patient onboard with burns on both feet.

The medical team from Shamsheer provided assistance, including medicine, bandages and distilled water, and demonstrated procedures to the ship’s master for future emergencies.
