Engage Marine orders tug trio for Abbot Point operations

Australian operator Engage Marine has placed an order for three ASD tugs in a series with Damen Shipyards Group.

The tugs will be used to provide towage services at the Queensland Port of Abbot Point under a non-exclusive towage licence awarded by North Queensland Bulk Ports Corporation (NQBP).

Each tug will have a length of 32.7 metres, a beam of 12.82 metres, and a total installed power of 5,050 kW delivering a bollard pull of 85 tonnes and a maximum speed of 13.5 knots.
